My journalism journey began on the sidelines of SEC football with ESPN, capturing the sounds of the game with a parabolic microphone that brought viewers closer to the action. That experience taught me how to anticipate moments and stay sharp under pressure, both skills that have shaped every step of my career.
After graduating early from Ole Miss, I took my first on-air role in South Carolina before moving to Birmingham where I covered deadly tornadoes and led reporting on healthcare access in Alabama’s Black Belt region during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tampa was my next stop. There, I served as a Bilingual Reporter covering a wide range of high-impact stories. I was live during hurricane landfalls, reported on controversial education policy changes, and covered a deadly Halloween mass shooting that shook the community.
Now based in Los Angeles, I’m part of the national launch team for Spectrum Noticias. I report on major national stories, including the human impact of immigration policy and the growing threat of wildfires across the West. I produce for both English and Spanish platforms, with a focus on digital and on-the-ground reporting.
I bring calm to breaking news, an instinct for exclusives, and a digital-first mindset that helps me spot and develop stories quickly. Whether I’m in the field or in the newsroom, I aim to tell stories that are impactful, accurate, and human.
